Brand New Author Case Study: Dark Fantasy

I am so glad I decided to start my publishing journey with a mentorship with Rebecca Hamilton. Rebecca’s knowledge of craft and marketing contributed to a debut novel release that was better than I could have imagined. At every step of the way, she helped me refine my ideas so my novel would shine and helped me stay on track to meet my goals. 

I’m so thrilled with how my book performed! I broke $500 and reached 948 in the Kindle Store. I never expected to get anywhere NEAR these results with my first book, let alone within the first couple weeks. 

I’m in the Ads for Authors course as well, and Rebecca also went above and beyond helping me refine my ads during release week to really help make my launch a success. I had no experience running ads before this, and thanks to the advice in the course and Rebecca’s help with adjustments, I’ve had them running at .09 CPC. 

Not only that, but the ARC Service that came free with my mentorship helped me launch with a ton of reviews!

I came into this uncertain, with no faith in my writing ability and unsure whether I would actually be able to accomplish my goals. Now, I’m ready to go into my next release with everything I’ve learned and the confidence of knowing I can do this.

Since Becca's launch, she reports making a steady $15 a day on her single available book. We plan an update at some point in the future when she has more books available.
